On July 11 and 12, I joined about 10,000 cyclists on a 200-mile ride from Seattle to Portland. Check back here frequently -- or better yet, become a "follower" or subscribe to a feed (see below) -- for photos I upload to my blog, 80 rpm.
In the world of cycling, cadence refers to the speed at which a cyclist turns the pedals. Recreational cyclists pedal at about 60 rpm, while racing cyclists are known to keep a cadence of 100 rpm. You could say that the hobbyist transforms into an athlete at 80 rpm.
Safe ride! And if you see my husband and his friend, take their pic, too! LOL!
